I am OO of the 03/2009 E91 LCI, 122,429 miles
Car is in near excellent shape, timely maintenance, Genuine / OE parts only

The only (minor) trouble was failed starter (solenoid) on Feb 17th.

On its 17th birthday the first CEL came on, while en-route at night from SF Bay Area to Tahoe - next 70 uphill in Sierra to my mountain cabin was not fun.

Collected 29CD: combustion misfire cylinder 1
* swapped coils, plugs, injectors - no luck
* compression test showed none in #1 (14 bar in #2-6)

visual revealed burned / failed (exhaust) valve

Given relatively low mileage thinking about having head rebuild.

Anyone here is up for a job or can recommend specialist in SF Bay or Sacramento area?

Alternatively I am happy to tow to SoCal if reputable shop is available

OR, perhaps Sreten is open for new "Project Christmas Valley" ? ;)
I have a donor E90 335d and EU version of 330d 6MT kit ready for a swap (into E91) ...
