This can potentially be a large savings, my swap to winter non-runflats saved 6 lbs. per tire, and I am looking to save 7 or 8 lbs. per tire when it's time to replace the summer RFT's with non-RFT summers.
May not sound like much, but it's unsprung weight, the suspension can perform better with less static load, and, the less weight farther from the wheel center (ie the tire) the better.
