I've just fitted 245/45 r18 on the rear of my 07 330d e93. It should actually run a 255/35 r18 which is 1.7 inches less in diameter. My reason for doing this is to improve ride quality by increasing the side wall height. I've also noticed that in one way it does actually make the car appeared lowered if you look at the wheel well - the tyres fill up the space more, despite there being 0.85 of an inch more ground clearance. My question is are there any down sides? No rubbing so far....
